At High School level alone, I spend about 15 hours a week on my sport, as well as 6 hours a day for school, leaving me a maximum of 7 hours free for after school to do homework, practice, dinner and any other chores. Good point, but there are plenty of costs associated with being a college athlete that the tuition doesn’t cover. Often times these students find themselves starving after the university's dining facilities have closed, forcing them to find additional dining options in which is money coming out of their own pocket.
