Most civilizations most likely would not have the ability to own a area and do the Games every 4 years. Doing so would prove very difficult for other civilizations because of lack of wealth within their governments. the way that the Olympics worked is arguably identical to the way our society functions today.¨the original Olympic Games were already inspiring participants and thrilling crowds of onlookers. Detailed and organized preparations were part of the Games too. Besides being entertainment for the population, they also had religious significance. They were held in honor of the Greek gods. They were also politically important, as they helped federate the Greek Empire¨ the order from least to most important in the Olympics would be the citizens, the athletes, the Roman emperor, and the Gods. That formation in society is just like ours today. Each person had their place and role in society just like everyone dose today.
