that led up to that event was when Beowulf enter within Grendel’s Mother lair. After he entered her lair unexpectedly Grendel’s Mother began grabbing at his armor with her crawls. Beowulf lounged towards Grendel’s Mother with fire in his eyes throwing her on the ground. Grendel’s Mother lashes back by pressing a dragger near Beowulf chest forgetting that his armor is unbreakable. Then Beowulf spots a hammer sword in his presence trying to ease his way towards it, and then confidently placing the sword in Grendel’s Mother neck breaking her weaken bones. In the movie Beowulf went to Grendel’s Mother lair not knowing that she was very seductive. After she placed her presence before Beowulf eyes she began giving him a layout on how they can rule the world. Beowulf was being drawn into her
persuasion so much until he had to rethink his decision. Then he finally got even with Grendel’s Mother by driving the killer weapon upon her chest painfully killing her.
Also, the textbook briefly summarized that Beowulf stood up to the dragon himself, yet the movie stated that the soldiers and Wiglaf seek his assistants.
The textbook illustrated that one afternoon the thief decided to steal in the dragon’s cave. The dragon didn’t seem happy about the thief actions, so he went tormenting all Beowulf people. Beowulf then took it upon himself and commence to attacking the dragon. While he was fighting with the dragon his fellow soldier departed from him in fear, but the main character that stood by his side was Wiglaf. In the movie they presented that the thief stole the golden cup from the dragon cave. The dragon began torturing those of the Geats for this thief bad stealing habits. Beowulf then came to his senses that he was going to have to protect his people, so he rode his horse toward the scene finding it quite challenging. Beowulf men began shooting arrows at the dragon trying to weaken it, and Wiglaf riding up to the scene went to the nearest entrance he can find. Beowulf finally cutting his arm to where he can reach the dragon’s throat killing him.
Again, the textbook version inferred that Beowulf was placed in a towel after his death; however, in the movie Beowulf was position in a boat sailing down the river burning in
fire.
In the textbook version they briefly envision that after Beowulf fought that weird structured dragon. Beowulf was brought to his death by this dragon, yet after his death he was placed in a towel being seen for years that come along. In the movie they placed a thought in people minds that after Beowulf killed this dragon with his bare hands. Beowulf was carried by his soldiers
alongside the river being position in a boat sailing down the river burning in fire. This death of Beowulf was and heroic but fearful death he witnessed.
In conclusion, Beowulf was a courageous man who gave his life to those he never knew.
Beowulf was a wise man who stood up to Grendel even though he was not a battle to face. Beowulf took on Grendel’s Mother who tried to seduce him into taking on the world. Beowulf also was placed in a position, to where he had to defend a thief for stealing. This thief costed Beowulf his precious life. Beowulf life lesson will live on now forever.
