Evaluation and Reflection as a playgroup leader
Evaluation
Management of time and resources
I had all of my planning complete before playgroup started. Some of my activities I had to cut because I felt like the kids we were getting where too young for them such as icing arrowroot cookies and cheerio cereal bracelets. But I added a puzzle table to make up for it and for the rest of my activities they were all finished and ready to go. All of my setting up was finished in time without teachers assistances. Cleaning up was done quickly and perfectly. I believe that I did very well at delegating and giving directions to my class member as the group leader.
Performances
My class member and I did a very high hygiene and safety protocell, such as
cleaning hands, using glen 20, getting rid of any potential safety hazards and more. Frozen Slime was performed with Brianna and Brooke making sure the kids did not eat the slim and having a backed for washing hands after getting slim on hands. Colouring was performed on a table with Eden and Mollie watching over the kids making sure they use the pens and pencils correctly. Frozen Play Dough was performed by Chelsea and Brittany they were looking after the kids making sure they did not eat any of the play dough. Frozen Paints was preformed my Brook and Brianna they had trouble with the ice paints and just did panting instead and made sure that no one go paint anywhere except the paper. Sticking cotton balls on Olaf was preformed my Mollie and Eden they did run out of cotton balls but I quickly got some more for them, they made sure no kids where eating the glue. My personal appearance was grate I had my hair up and out of my face minimal makeup and I was wherein the right uniform for playgroup.
Reflection
Something I could improve on would be having better activities for the age group we are getting. What I would improve overall at playgroup would be getting every one to show up on time, making sure all activities and crafts are set up and everyone knows what they are doing. I did use my leadership skills very well informing class members on what they were doing and making sure everyone was busy. The kids where very interested in all my crafts expressly the colouring and paly dough, after changing some of the crafts to make it more age appropriate they were. I think that I had a good verity in all my crafts and activists expressly my songs having the frozen sound track in the bake ground really pumped every one.
