Habitat For Humanity Case Study
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that takes charge in housing low income families and helping them become owners of their newly built homes. Due to economic hardships families are not capable to stay at home with their families, work two jobs, struggle with bills, and have adequate housing, but habitat makes it possible for this to change for families around the world.
History
An American family decided that families should be able to have affordable shelter. The Fuller family took their concept overseas to see if their idea of affordable shelter would work for low income families. When returning to the states in 1976 the Fuller’s then named their concept as: Habitat for Humanity International. (Habitat's history, n.d.)
