So many of my friends say that Call of Duty: Black Ops II is way better than Halo 4 because it’s more realistic than Halo. The guns are way better than Halo’s. COD is better than this. Better than that. Ya-dee-ya-dee-ya. Is that all they can say? That Call of Duty’s guns are better than Halo 4’s. On the contrary, Halo 4 is superior compared to Black Ops II because the campaign is well-written, the multiplayer is exhilarating, and the graphics are amazing.…

While they do have their differences, Rainbow Six Siege and Titanfall 2 are both amazing and outstanding games to play. They really are set apart from the other shooter juggernauts, that they bring something new to the table. Rainbow Six keeps up the importance of staying alive, because the player is not respawning until the next round. Titanfall 2 has fast movement with giant mech combat, but not to the point that you feel helpless as a pilot up against a titan. So yeah, have fun being…

There are few professional sports rivalries that compare to that of the Yankees and the Red Sox or the Flyers and the Penguins. Well since the year 2006 when Playstation 3 was released there has been a much heated rivalry between the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. It has been a nonstop war for the development of the superior gaming system. There are many reasons one could say that one console is better than the other. In saying this, the users are correct. Each console does in fact have attributes that give one the edge over the other. As an online gamer myself, I do in fact own a Playstation 3. When one is in the market for a new gaming experience, deciding which console to purchase can be as painful as pulling teeth. Some factors that should be considered during the shopping process should be quality of online multiplayer, entertainment value, and most important to me was obtaining the most “bang for my buck.”…

She explains the meaning of this achievement and why gamers are so proud of it. She deconstructs the reasoning behind a gamer’s fascination of video games into three “epic” categories including: scale, context, and environment. These categories are the foundation for the benefits that can be achieved from playing video games, which Jane aims to reveal. She concludes her essay with research on how playing video games results in positive actions and a call to action for readers to start applying the lessons of video games to everyday life.…

I have chosen to compare two video games, the two video games I have selected are Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, also known as just Skyrim is a first-person roleplay game that is, based in a medieval fantasy world, with dragons, orcs, dwarves, elves, trolls, wizards, and many more. The games’ back story is; you are but a mere peasant that winds up at the wrong place at the wrong time. You are arrested and accused of being allied with the storm cloaks by the Imperials.…

Jared Doerr 11/17/14 Arguments and Reasoning Gladiator Events: Sport or Not? Are gladiator events of ancient Rome sport? Gladiator events were most certainly a violent form of entertainment and because of the violence I would think we would naturally feel that it is not a sport; however, before we can clarify whether or not gladiator events are sport, we first have to define what a “sport” is considered to be. I have broken down “sport” to contain three elements: some aspect of competiveness (a desire to win), some kind of physical exertion (strain on the body) and also some kind of mental exertion (problem solving skills). Based on these three elements, gladiator events in ancient Rome are most certainly sport.…

According to John DiConsiglio between 70% and 90% of teens in the United States play video games and it is said that 5% to 10% of those kids are addicted to gaming, but what about the other 80%? Although people may argue that the internet or video games cause adolescents to have antisocial personalities that isn’t necessarily true for every person. The internet and videogames can have positive impacts on both the world and people’s lives. The internet and both online and video games aren’t detrimental to adolescents’ intellectual and social development because they can be used for educational tools and they allow teens to become more involved in the world around them.…
