Hard Work Leads to Success
Hard work leads to success

Hard work is the key to success. Nothing can be achieved without hard work. Work, work, ever work, is a great panacea. Edison worked for twenty-one hours a day. He slept only for two or three hours on the laboratory tables with his books as his pillow.

Our beloved Prime Minister late Pt. Nehru, worked for seventeen hours a day and seven days a week. There were no holidays in his calendar. Mahatma Gandhi worked ceaselessly day and night and won freedom for his country. Hard work is the price that we pay for success and all the gifts of life.

It has been-well said,

"Heights by great man reached and kept,

Were not attained by sudden flight,

They while their companions slept,

Were toiling upwards in the night."

Constant vigilance and preparedness to work is the price we have to pay for success in life. Work is a privilege and a pleasure; idleness is a luxury that none can afford. Man is born to work and prosper in life. He like steel, shines in use and rusts in rest. Work is worship. It exalts man if it is done honestly. Those who toll are, sooner or later, rewarded with luck and success. A man of action acts in the living present. There is no tomorrow for him. He makes the best of his time.

Life is full of strife. Life is action. Activity is the law of Nature. A life of idleness is a life of shame and disgrace. Idle men are intruders on society. We are endowed with brain and limbs, which are meant to be properly exercised. Failure in life is very often due to idleness. Industry is the key to success. Industry makes and idleness mars a nation.

Greatness can be achieved by great labour only. What a man earns by the sweat of his brow gives him a greater degree of satisfaction than what he gets by a stroke of fortune. Man wishes to have many things in life. Some of, them may be bestowed upon him by fortune, but to have the others he will have to work and toil; for he cannot have them for mere

Part two of The Good Endeavor, sheds light as to why humans struggle with work in our day to day lives. Keller explains how it all roots back to the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve eating of the forbidden fruit, in his opinion, was a test. This opportunity to obey God merely because of who God is and what was asked of them was a sure fail. The author expands, saying because of this and every other fall of man "sin leads to disintegration of every area of life..” this would include work. Every person, job and area of life will have its fall. Not one particular part will be perfect. Keller gives an example from the play Amadeus. Mozart and Salieri, both composers but they each had success in their own. Salieri was envious of the kind of success Mozart had because he was no doubt a prodigy. However,…

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. My father defines that quote. This union, with which my father works for, has helped every single member in my family: father, mother, two brother, and myself. The union that I am referring to is the ‘Sheet Metal Workers’. My dad has been working for this union for roughly eleven years. Although he is a member of the Sheet Metal Workers, the union itself has made a huge impact on our lives.…

Hard work is a major tool that can be used by various people to achieve their goals and objectives. People who have been successful have used it in the past. Hard work and persistence go hand in hand. In fact, one can be used in place of the other at times. It should, however, be noted that the two terms are different in that persistence is a component of hard work (Crew and Sweet 4). The importance of hard work cannot be underestimated for people who are keen in controlling their destiny. To achieve success, people need the strength of body and mind, as well as hard work to reach their full potential. Therefore, people in the society who have had a poor economic status can improve their situation through hard work. Hard work is known to improve…

With the phrase “stay hungry, stay foolish” Steve Jobs wanted to say that we should never be content with what we have now and find our own way to perfection, that in this life there is always something that we can learn and use in our life later on, the “foolish” in this phrase means that we must be ready to try new things and be ready to step out of our comfort zone, we only live once , so we must follow our dreams no matter what it takes. Long time ago I have read the book and found an excellent phrase and I absolutely agree with that “only a person who risks is free. The pessimist complains about the wind, the optimist expects it to change , and the realist adjusts the sails.” To sum up the idea of Steve Jobs we must be always hungry for knowledge , because knowledge itself can’t be useless and in the future we will definitely find a way to use it, second thing is that we need to find a work that we truly love and are ready to do it for the rest of our life. We also need to learn not to pay attention to every dog that barks at us, furthermore we need to understand concept of taking risks in our life, one of the greatest scientists of all time Albert Einstein once said “ A ship is always safe at the shore, but that is not what it is built for”. With the will of achieving success and all mentioned above combined there is no mission a human can’t accomplish. In the end of this topic I want to finish it with a great inspirational quote “If the mind is willing , the flesh could go on and on without many things.”…

Hard work has been the main reason for success throughout history. Inventors, sinentest and leaders are examples of successful workers who scarify a lot of things in order to privilege. Some people claim that hard work is the only means to success and luck has nothing to do with it, while others say that luck is a main factor for successes. I believe that hard work is a very important factor for success and the hard luck is a secondary reason we must not rely on.…
