On January 25, 2017 I started working at Hatch Auto Sales. It is an important event of my life because it was my first job. I started working there because I wanted some money to buy my own things and don’t be asking my parents for money every time I wanted something. In Hatch Auto Sales I work wash cars and I get paid 9 dollars an hour.I feel like this is the right job for me because it is not difficult to and it's not boring either. It is not boring because 2 of my friends also work with me.

Working in Hatch Auto Sales is good because I only work on Saturdays so i don't get so distracted from school.Sometimes I work during the week but it's not so often. Also working is fun because I earn my own money. I don't get paid too much but

The best job I had was working at Gila River casino. I worked the night shift from 10pm to 6am, Sunday to Thursday, working 40 hours a week. Working as a security officer the casino was very hard and fast-paced because for security we would have to make sure everyone was safe, check i.d., and walk around the casino floor to see if anyone was stealing money or people sleeping in the bathroom. We would have to check the parking lot for anyone who was doing drugs and trying to break into patrons vehicles. The biggest problems at the casino were the alcohol intoxicated patrons who would get mad and want to fight everyone in the casino.…

The best way to give someone the idea of an institution’s terrible enormity, is to give them depictions of people who have suffered under it. This is the principle idea of the slave narrative, where former slaves tell their experiences in slavery and how they escaped. As most were written when slavery was still legal, the true purpose of these published accounts is addressed in a myriad of different ways throughout, but sums up to this - to convince the reader, through depictions of abuse and dehumanization, that slavery should not be condoned, for the perpetual abuse and misery the slave must endure is not worth the product. Frederick Douglass and Harriet Jacobs are two examples of slave narrative authors who utilize this emotional appeal…

A work as a courtesy clerk for Hy-Vee after my classes and on the weekends. I have worked there for over two years and transferred last semester so that I could attend college in the Ankeny area. Because I do around five to six classes a semester I always have to be careful about the amount of hours that I take on. Sometimes my shifts can be around twenty hours and week which, coupled with all the schoolwork that I do, can be taxing at times. Because of the fact that I live on campus, the location of my work is very important and was a defining reason of why I decided to transfer to the Hy-Vee on South West State Street.…

If I do not like lots of time with other people and at this job there is a lot of people to talk to, I probably wouldn’t want this job. Also, by job shadowing I can learn how much work I will have to do. For example, the job might be more work than what I want. Last of all, the job might require more math or English than I wanted it to be. I don’t like to read, so if the job had a lot of reading that could affect how I work.
