What is“Hate Group “you ask? A hate group is an organized group or movement that advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence towards members of a race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation or other designated sectors of society. According to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), hate groups primary purpose is to promote animosity, hostility, and malice against persons belonging to a race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or ethnicity/national origin which differs from that of the members of the organization. …show more content…
Here are a few ideology classifications and groups that fall under hate groups. Anti-Gay (American Family Association), Anti-Immigration (California Coalition), Black Separatist (Nation of Islam, New Black Panther Party, Nuwaubian Nation of Moors) Neo- Confederate (The league of the South), Klu Klux Klan (Brotherhood of Klans, Church of the National Knights of the Klu Klux Klan), etc. Out of all of these hate groups I’ve only heard of one group and it is “The Black Panther Party. I never knew so many hate groups existed until now. California has the highest number of Hate groups. That isn’t surprising at all because California has a growing population. It also isn’t surprising because I know of some gangs such as bloods and Crips that live in California. There are 32 Hate groups in Ohio here are a few of them:

Racist Skinheads came about in the 1960’s. A skinhead is a member of a subculture that originated among working class youths in London, England in the 1960s and then soon spread to other parts of the United Kingdom, and later to other countries around the world. Named for their close-cropped or shaven heads, the first skinheads influenced by West Indian rude boys and British mods, in terms of fashion, music and lifestyle. Originally, the skinhead subculture was primarily based on those elements, not politics or race. Since then attitudes toward race and politics have become factors by which some skinheads align themselves. The political spectrum within the skinhead scene ranges from the far right to the far left, although many skinheads are apolitical. Fashion-wise, skinheads range from a clean-cut 1960s mod-influenced style to less-strict punk- and hardcore-influenced styles. During my research I found out that the number of people involved in the Racist Skinheads has increase.
