Communication in Health Care Communication within the health care industry is very important, and there are various forms of communication that will be used. It is essential that management communicate with the peers of the industry, to make sure that everyone is on a more valid note. Without communication internal and external communication, the industry will not be able to obtain the communication methods needed for establishment. With any new establishment of a healthcare company, many of the communicators must effectively resolve any issues that may come with communication. They are all invested equally in the outcome so as a result good communication is essential. The manager should be able to recognize the different personalities of each employee and be conscious of it when communicating. A combination of written and spoken communication should be used as a way of giving information as well as receiving feedback (Cross, 2012). Even though email is a quick and easy way to get information out to the team it is sometimes not as effective as a face to face meeting. This is because some employees grasp what is expected through the written word and others through a face to face meeting in which they can ask questions and give suggestions while receiving feedback. Before using any of these methods, the manager has to be prepared in that all the information the he needs to know has to be collected and reviewed by him. Then he can send an email to the team outlining the task, expected goals and intended results. He should then invite everyone to have any questions or suggestions that could improve on the plan to have them written down so that it could all be reviewed at the team meeting. When in the meeting the manager should not only be speaking clearly and providing explanations so that it can be understood by the team members, he should also be prepared to listen (The Management Center, 2013). …show more content…
In a facility that provides care to the health consumers such as this the entire team as to be communicating effectively on a daily basis. The different personalities of the team members can be used to the advantage of the facility by pairing like personalities to do the necessary training together and complete tasks because they would be more productively if they are not in conflict (Organizational Communication, n.d., ). Sending out the information that the entire team needs is important in that it keeps them apprised of any changes or added tasks they need to be aware of. Most importantly is the face to face communication with concentration on listening. If the ideas and concerns of the team that is operating the facility on a daily basis is heard it will result in a well-run, profitable facility with longevity both in the external and internal community (The Management Center,
