The Health and wellness program spend minority of their funding on program expenses and personal expenses. They barely spend anything on travel expenses and equipment such as computer for the office. They spend 2% on Office expense and most of it was spend on building maintenance and language line services.
Supervisor Interview
My Supervisor, Ariel MacNeill obtain her position as the Health Access Coordinator because she previously worked with NSC while she was working at the Child welfare office and she also completed an internship with NSC. Though the relationship she builds with NSC staffs she was offer the position upon graduating with her master in Public Health from Temple University. She worked with the child welfare office for about six years and she spend two years in Laos developing a curriculum for the peace building group. She loves the population we work with and she love how everyone at NSC wants the same thing. One thing she would change about her jobs is the transition. They ensure that every refugee that enter Philadelphia have the right tools they need to survive in America. I am interested in the immigrant and refugee population. I want to help them transition into their new environment smoothly by providing them with the necessary resources. NSC have a whole team delectated to helping refugees find jobs, ESl class and teaching them how to navigate the healthcare systems and I wanted to be a part of
