Did you know high school dropouts average income by education is over $6,000 less than a person with a person with a high school diploma? People who graduate high school earn more money than someone who drops out. People who dropout are more likely to have negative impacts over the course of their life, and dropping out has more risks and effects that staying in school does. All people should have to stay in school until they 18. To begin with, people who graduate school have a higher average income than a person who does not graduate. A person with a diploma receives an average income of education of $27,380, and a person who drops out or does not get their diploma has an average income by education of $19,540 according to the U.S Department …show more content…
Some educators also say that when students don’t want to be there they can cause problems for other students and teachers as well. Students who consider leaving school miss a lot of education time and miss a lot of material. If dropouts decide to come back to school, they will be behind and it will take the person even longer to get a diploma. According to a letter written by a dropout it states “If I’m lucky.. I’ll be able to go back to school full-time next fall.” When this person returns, they will be behind an entire year behind on the materials taught to the other students and it may possibly take double the time to catch up again. The individuals who do not want to be in school have other options, and other ways to graduate. There is more than one way to graduate school. According to the article “Radio Interview” “Paul Morgan Talks with Missy Remiss on WSCH” it states “They also have created several pathways to graduation, so there’s more than one way to succeed.” The benefits of graduating completely outmatch all of the benefits of dropping out of school. People who decide to leave school to help their family out with money or other issues need to stay in school.
