In particular, high school students have more choices with choosing their classes. There are many choices in the classes. What's different than the middle school is that there could be different people in different grades within the class. Teachers also assign way more homework than the middle school. Freshman fifteen is the NEW EPIDEMIC!!.. or not? Studies have uncovered that on average, college students (specifically freshmen) are gaining weight at an abnormal pace. Although, evidence does not support the statement of a fifteen pound increase. Weight gain is still a predominant issue that is affecting many undergraduates. The infamous term freshman fifteen stems from the notion that when a student transitions from high school to college this can be a drastic and impactful change. As their routines, diets, and moods are altered, this switch will then lead to weight gain; a rumored 15 pound increase in just their first year of attending college. This imbalance in a student's well being is due to the usage of food as a means of coping. In addition, stress and a lack of exercise also play a role in a student's weight gain.…

I see high school as deeper work, more responsibility, and more homework. The teachers are a lot harder on you. In high school, you get more freedom than in middle school because you’re older. There is harder work because the standards are higher. There is more responsibility because the teachers think you can do it and you have to keep up with more books and stuff.…

Going back to my best year! Sophomore year was the year I had to get myself together and stop acting so amateur, it was the year I start acting like an adult. Therefore It was a great year for me. My sophomore year was not like other teenagers, I had many downfalls, but that didn't stop me from accomplishing my goals. Around this time I wanted to try a sport for the first time, so I tried out for the wrestling team, but they didn't work out so well. I don't like student led conferences, some of the good things about going to these are that my parents get to know how I am doing in school. Another is that they get to see some of the enviorments that we are learning in. My mom cares about that stuff because I have to study at home for church a lot and we have to go into a room that is not distracting. Also some of the reasons I don't like student led conferences is the time that we take to make the "portfolios" and we don't get more time to work on actual school work. Another reason why I don't like them is that we have to find a time to do the conference and we have a tight schedule at home so it is hard to find time for that. So in conclusion I don't like student led conferences because…

Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration.
