Middle School Observation Report

Middle school is significantly different from high school; the middle school I went to is small compared to Ridgeview which has far more opportunities. Ridgeview has presented itself to be stronger, more demanding, and far more open. A few things that have been demonstrated to be far more taxing are band, different classes, and the method of accomplishment. When it came to me joining the Ridgeview band program I was shown that things were no longer going to be as simple as they used to be. I had officially started when it was nearing the end of the summer and I had to go to band camp. While there I saw that no more would the music for marching only be half a page long, but instead multiple full sheet pages. During middle school, we were only required to memorize the half page of music that we were provided, but now it was a far more rigorous requirement that needed to be fulfilled. However, it wasn't only the music that received an increase in difficulty the style of marching
Fortunately, I did prepare by making sure that I worked hard to get all gate classes and that I could do the work. The method I’ve been using is the same method I’ve been using since middle school and there have only been slight changes to it. Before my method would consist of getting all my homework prioritizing it in a more efficient way than working on it till I would finish everything precluding me from failure. My current method is almost the same except I have to make room for extracurricular activities, but soon I’ll have to find a way to get volunteer hours into my schedule. Besides those two instances, nothing has changed the way that I get my work done or how I accomplish things at school. However, if I ever want to do more there are plenty of ways for me too. All in all, my way of going through high school hasn’t faced any drastic changes and seems to be working just
