Hillary Clinton Win The Election Essay
I firmly believe that Hillary Clinton will win the presidency. I believe this for many reasons, some of the most important being that her opponent Donald Trump’s ratings are progressively going down, Hillary is an experienced politician, and current job approval is over 50%. Although Donald Trump poses a threat, I believe that on November 8th, voters will put their trust in Hillary Clinton, and she will become the next President of the United States.
One reason why I believe that Hillary Clinton will win the election is because Donald Trump has slowly been self destructing, and his ratings continue to fall. According to POLTICO.com, in the week of July 22nd, 44% of Voters were planning on voting for Trump, while only 43% supported Hillary. The week of October 8th showed 44% of Voters in favor of Clinton, and only 36% in favor of Trump. That is a 8% drop over 3 months. As the campaign has continued on, people have watched as Trump has shown his aggressive ego, made vicious comments, and attack his opponent rather than focusing on the campaign. People are starting to see the overwhelming downsides of Donald Trump, and it has shown in his ratings.
Another reason why I believe Hillary is bound to win this election is because she is an experienced politician. …show more content…
In four of the five elections since 1980, when the incumbent president’s job approval was at or above 50 percent, that party held the White House. The outlier was 2000, when President Bill Clinton had a 57 percent job approval rating in October yet Al Gore “lost” to George W. Bush. We all know that election was different than most. According to Gallup Polls, right now Obama's job approval rating is 52%, which is good news for Hillary Clinton. As long as nothing catastrophic happens in the next month, approval ratings should remain above 50%, and Hillary Clinton's odds will continue to look
