Here comes Christmas; Christmas has many activities to relish. There is the myth about Santa Clause for the kids to believe that he brings gifts for Christmas which leads for the children to leave milk for Santa Clause. Next, there are Christmas Carols sung and Christmas programs and plays being held in schools and churches. Also, Christmas is all about being thankful and being with family members for the holidays. Then here comes the family traditional Christmas lunch, where everyone brings food to the table just to be sharing and kind. It’s just a blessing to be with everyone you love and care about on…
Holidays are always celebrated no matter religion, beliefs, or culture. Some are recognized more than others but none two are as highly recognized like the cherished Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. The pair may seem vastly different, as they are two completely separate occasions, but in actuality they do share very similar attributes. Many of the similarities and differences are about to be explained, so here goes.…
Christmas brings out a certain joy in me. Seeing the same enthusiasm in others makes me realize how wonderful the season is. Hearing the songs that can brighten anyone’s day, and smelling fresh cookies straight out of the oven is just a bonus to the already perfect holiday. Christmas 2015 here I…
Christmas is one of the most incredible times of the year; snow on the ground, a warm fire in the living room, and twinkly lights around every turn. When I was young, I loved Christmas. Toys and treats had me in a daze for almost a week straight. I was a typical kid, and my focus during any holiday was, “What do I get? Who brought me presents?”. I never realized the true meaning of why we have holidays, other than presents, until I was seventeen years old. As I’ve started to see my family less and my co-workers more, I understand that the true meaning of holidays in general, is to spend time with our loved ones. Taking my new found wisdom into account, my opinion of the “best holiday of the year” has changed from Christmas to Thanksgiving. My views, including favorite holiday, have changed because my focus on what’s important has matured.…
Jesus our King is our reason for Christmas, but merchants and television have torn us away from this idea. To keep Christ in Christmas things must be done, for instance quickly scrawling Merry X-mas on a card is totally against the idea, although more convenient then writing Christmas it suggests that Christmas is not a Christen holiday. Christmas is a time for presents and T.V. specials to little kids, it could be taught to them that it's not what you get, but what you give in the first place. I no for a fact that Jesus died to save us, and not get praise from God, or to get us to follow Him, He received crucifixion willingly to save all races, in all nations, and for all ages. So giving secretly to the poor, the sick, or people you try to tolerate your being like Him, by giving to all no matter what. When decorating outside on your lawn don't just put Frost and Santa and the reindeer, add a Nativity Scene to remind you and all that pass your house that you know what Christmas is truly about. And inside your house all Christmassy as is may be remember on your tree at the top that, angel or star you place so delicately think of why you use those images. Maybe that symbolizes the one that lit the way to Bethlehem where in the manger Christ slept, or that angel signifies the one Mary saw who told her she was to give the birth to Child King, or the one who told the Shepard's and kings about Jesus being born in Bethlehem. When in school remember to keep in your hearts forever what you learn in religion class about Advent and Christmas so you can others like some protestant neighbors and maybe in the light of season they'll come back to our church. When you give gifts remember the look on the recipients faces because that is the best Christmas of…
To that end, the War on Christmas is a major skirmish in that war. Each year, more and more secular progressives work to eradicate the right of major retailers to say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Christmas" in favor of the more benign, and ultimately godless "Happy Holidays. " The term "Christmas Tree" is also being replaced by "Holiday Tree" in some places.[2] When the retailer gives in, they are less likely to begin using the older terms again, and, in order to save money and time, will simply acquiesce to the will of the liberal protesters, saying "Happy Holidays" from that time…
My favorite holiday is Christmas. All of my family gets together at multiple places. We do presents and stalkings at my grandparents house and then we leave and play white elephant at my aunt and uncles place. These are my favorite holidays because I get to be with my family and have…
Christmas day it is important for people that celebrate this holiday, for others is just another regular day. But, even if people don’t celebrate Christmas they have a holiday that could be the same when they enjoy and gather together with their family. For Modern Family, it was important for them to make this express Christmas because they wanted to have a family reunion and celebrate together. They all put their effort to accomplish their goal by buying the tree, putting the colorful lights, wrapping the presents and making dinner.…
The warmth of a burning fire, the slight smell of cinnamon, and the sweet sound of Christmas music playing in the background is the best feeling. Christmas is a holiday celebrated by many and cherished by a countless amount of people. Some holidays may not be as popular as Christmas, but that does not mean they are any less important. Holidays should not be eliminated because it allows people to celebrate and show their respect and feelings about certain times in American history. ALong with other races that come to America for freedom.…
To me Thanksgiving is better than Christmas. The reason for that is Thanksgiving has the best supper. Just cause Grandma made it. Every once in a while, grandma might not feel well enough to make our Thanksgiving dinner. Therefore everyone pitches in. My mother might make the macaroni & cheese. Auntie will make the splendid dressing. Robin will bake the ham, glazed with pineapples. Everyone has their favorite dish. As for everything else Grandma will make it. No one can duplicate anything that Grandma cooks.…
Holidays in my opinion are times for families who are spread across the United States and those around the world to come together and share laughs, memories, and stories. One of the most important and my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving in my family is a time for love, giving thanks, and simple joy of being with family. It is a time to give thanks for all the things you’ve been blessed with from family right down to the shoes on your feet.…
Christmas is the perfect season to be…
People have many opinions and reasons about their favorite holidays, but out of all the holidays I would think that Christmas is the best above all. There are many reasons why I like Christmas, but only three matter the most to me. One of the reasons is because people get to exchange gifts with friends and family. The other reason is because of the foods, but the best part of Christmas is spending time with the family.…
Christmas is my favorite holiday. It’s the time of year when I accompany my mother, sister or friends to the store to buy gifts for other people. We decorate our homes to bring cheer to our friends and families. We hang our light on the outside of the homes to brighten the spirits of our friends, neighbors, and strangers, who drive by to see the colored lights. This holiday is my favorite because on this particular day I get the quality time to spend with my family, it’s relaxing and personally it brings joy and spirit into my life.…
