This Answers book provides suggestions for some of the possible answers that might be given for the questions asked in the workbook. They are not exhaustive and other answers may be acceptable, but they are intended as a guide to give teachers and students feedback. The student responses for the longer essay-style questions are intended to give some idea about how the exam questions might be answered. The examiner comments (underlined text) have been added to give you some sense of what is rewarded in the exam and which areas can be developed. Again, these are not the only ways to answer such questions but they can be treated as one way of approaching questions of these types.…

chool holidays are not too long. Children are forced to attend school between 9am and 3:30pm every weekday which is fine in primary school, but when it gets to secondary school, children often have to contend with bullying and humiliation in school on a regular basis as well as a greater workload. Christmas and Easter breaks, as well as half term are great, but they're not enough time to really relax. A lot of the time they will be spend doing family things. The good thing is about summer holidays is that August boasts the best weather, so you can go outside and chill somewhere, or even just stay at home a be yourself. However, I would advise that they spent at least half of that time not just finding something to amuse themselves (which these days would be tv, gaming, computers or otherwise being a bother to others) but something constructive. I think too many children associate learning with school, but six weeks is enough time to get fit, get into cooking or baking, start learning a new language, cultivate your own interests, read a book (fact or fiction), get into a new hobby, join a club, learn a new skill or even get a job. Children would feel better for it. They would feel like they controlled those precious six weeks rather than the state. I'm a university student. I've been on summer break from the end of May and don't return until the last week of September, but it's packed with things I either have to do for next year or things I can do to improve myself. Of course, this will depend a lot on your parents and what they will allow and can afford, but children should take their life into their hands in this short and set about doing something to improve themselves. Otherwise, if all that's going to be done is lazing about for the whole of that time, cut them back to four weeks I would say! That's plenty of time to enjoy doing sod all! School holidays were originally put into place for children to go and help farmers with the harvest. If children could…

It should be kept in mind that unlike written tests, interview marks depend a lot on the impression of the candidate on the interviewer, conduct of the candidate and candidate's behavioral traits. UPSC does not check the raw knowledge of the candidate, it checks their personality. Please watch the video on above, it will help you to understand the tips given below. The animation is an adaptation of a real UPSC interview of the candidate Vinay Kumar in 2011. The candidate got 210/300 marks. Since the candidate could not recall the complete interview, it is just a part of the complete Interview. Also, some of the details like candidate details and a few answers have been modified. Due to technical limitations of the software, this interview is in the form of a one-to-one interaction. Thus questions of all the panel members are merged and are asked by one…
