How Did Ronald Reagan Influence The World

The 1980s was an era of change, advancements, bold fashion, and music. This is one of the most iconic eras and one that will shape the world forever. This is the decade where internet went global, the Gameboy was released, Michael Jackson released “Thriller,” and “The Cosby Show” debuted. America also sided with Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war and ,at the end of this era, is when the Berlin wall falls as a result of the Cold War. All of these events, and more, make the 1980’s an iconic era that will live forever.
President Ronald Reagan was in office at this time and accomplished a lot during his time. He ended the Cold War by pushing for the Berlin war to come down and the border between east and west Berlin. He was also responsible for cutting taxes and making the economy boom once again. Reagan was said to have obtained peace and strength throughout his entire presidency. He was also very optimistic and said that is was “Morning in America,” symbolizing that it was a new beginning in America. He was a very influential individual that has helped out country tremendously in multiple times if crisis and worry.
Reagan was beginning to discuss scenarios involving nuclear warfare and how to protect the states if nuclear warfare were to occur. The United States was constantly taking a beating from other countries for not being able to defeat the Viet Cong or confront other third world countries, even though we were known as the greatest power on Earth.
