It was caused by the disagreements over slavery and the states. The North and South both believed in different ideas. They did not agree on the same thing. This had an impact on both sides. The North didn’t believe in keeping slaves, while the South did believe in keeping slaves and wanted to have and keep the slaves that they could. This caused a lot of drama on both sides and caused a lot of damage. Slavery played a huge role in the American Civil War. This was a sign for them to start going to war. The war between the Union and the Confederacy impacted a lot of people and caused about 620,000 people to pass away. From the people who were battling, 360,222 people died from the union, and 258,000 died from the Confederate. There were a lot of deaths on both sides. No one would imagine this many people dying. The American Civil War is known to be one of the biggest wars that killed a lot of people. It is also known for trying to free slaves. The North had a bigger advantage in being able to defeat the South. While the years passed, it was the last year of the war, which was 1865, on April 9, which was the same month that the war all started. It was the same month, but a different year and date. It is crazy how they spent all that time on war, and when it was close to ending, it was the same month, just a few days before the start and four years from the
