The war’s fatality number was around 50 through 85 million according to wikipedia. That’s around 70% of the people involved. Although it is said to have been started in 1939, the Pacific had already been at war with China around 1935. World war 2 had become the war that had changed the globe socially and politically forever.
The countries involved in World War 2 eventually formed into 2 sides: the allies and the Axis. Countries on the allied power were the U.S,
Soviet Union, France, Poland, and Britain. The leaders were Franklin Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin. Countries involved on the Axis power were Germany, Italy, Japan, Bulgaria, and Hungary. Leaders were Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and Emperor HiroHito. The main purpose of the Allied power was to create a peaceful, untroubled world by defeating the Axis power.
Though the Allied were thought to create a better world for everyone, many were deeply affected. It wasn’t exactly a win-win situation; it was more of lose-lose. The cost to go to war was costly and high-priced and it left their people broke. But the most expensive cost of World War 2 was everyone’s life. Around 80 million soldiers and mostly civilians were lost. To this day, relatives are still affected by the death of these soldiers.
This war was definitely the most crucial one throughout history. It had affected everyone across the globe. The Soviet Union was the most affected since they had lost most lives and money in the war.
