This uprising was known as the Theban Uprising, because of where it took place, and those involved. Thebe’s was a city inside of greece that did not believe in, nor did they want, Alexander as their ruler. Because of this, and the fact that they were treated poorly by alexander's father when he was their ruler they decided to rebel. What they did was wrong because of the fact that alexander allowed them to continue practicing their own culture, and allowed them to continue believing in whatever they wanted to believe in. Nevertheless, they rebelled anyway. When Alexander was notified of the Rebellion he immediately rallied 30,000 troops to help him take back the city.
