How Does The Earth Block The Moon's View Of The Sun

The movement and interaction of the Sun, Moon, and Earth affect what we see and experience on earth. For example the moon's gravitational pull creates high and low tides on Earth. We also experience solar eclipses because of the moon, a solar eclipse is when the Moon and its shadow block the sun from the earth.When a solar eclipse occurs it cause certain parts of the earth to become dark. Another thing that can happen is a lunar eclipse which is when the Earth blocks the moon's view of the sun.At night we only really see one side of the moon because of captured rotation. It takes about 28 days for the Moon to go around the earth. During the 28 days the moon goes through different phases which is why we sometimes only see part of the moon.
