The position of the moon during the time I observed it with respect to the horizon and compass direction changed quite a bit as well. From the first night I observed the position of the moon it was 4 fists about the horizon. As the moon changed from a waxing gibbous to a full moon the position increased to 5 fists above the horizon. Then as the moon changed from a full moon to a waning gibbous the moons position began to decrease from 5 fists above the horizon to 4 fists, 3 fists, and on my last observation it was at 2 fists above the horizon. Also, the change in the moon position changed with respect to compass direction changed from on my first observation it was in the South direction to at my last observation being in the East direction. So, through out the whole…
The sun and the moon form part of our universe, where they both hold their own power and value. The sun is in the center of the solar system with nine planets moving around it. The light given from the sun helps us experience the day and the night. After the sun, the moon is the the brightest object in the sky. Though the light that shines at night does not originate from the moon, it is reflected by sunlight. Their differences from each other are responsible for the life that we live in this Earth. Knowing about the sun and moon we can relate their relationship to the Spanish and the Aztec. The Aztec hold the position of the sun. When they first settled on the swampy island called Tenochtitlan, it became…
According to a New York Times article on technical mistakes in the movie (and personal observation), the film shows the moon changing phases several times during Apollo 13's four-day journey. There should have been only one phase, a waning half-moon, since Apollo 13 was scheduled to land on the left side of the moon and landing was always planned for sunrise, so that long shadows could aid navigation. (Sunrise on the moon, of course, occurs only every 28 days.). The changing of the phases constantly is probably for a more dramatic effect and to show that this is going on within multiple days because if the audience sees something changing it will subconsciously help them split events up into separate…
What is Photosynthesis? Its general reference is sunlight protons converted into resourceful energy, of which are autotrophs that work and feed themselves independently. To be more scientific using its equation 6CO2 + 6H2O – Sunlight Energy – C6H12O6 + 6H2O, carbon dioxide particles travel through a leaf’s cell surface, which is where the chloroplast organelle produces “chlorophyll molecules forming a light harvesting complex absorbing that energy, exciting electrons” ((n.d.). Retrieved March 22, 2018, from https://msu.edu/user/morleyti/sun/Biology/lightreactions.html), absorbing specific wavelengths for why we can see such a colorful environment. And sugar molecules are produced.…
