The love I had for the game myself was unreal. My grandpa and my uncle took note of that and made sure that everywhere I went I carried a football. I already knew football was something I enjoyed watching but it wasn’t until second grade I actually got to pad up and play. I was a natural, I played offense, defense, kick return, punt return, and special teams. I Played for the same team all the way up until the fifth and sixth grade and by then I had already caught the eyes of some of the local middle school coaches. I was considered as one of the play makers on the team. I knew that I was one of the best players on my team, but I didn’t let that stop me from wanting to become even better. My concussion caused me to have to sit out the rest of my 7th-grade season. At first, I wasn’t sure what I would do with myself not being able to play ball, but since this was just temporary I used that time off to improve my work in the classroom. I also decided to start lifting weights because I wanted to come back and play even better my 8th-grade season. I was the first string strong side linebacker in 8th grade, which meant I saw plenty of playing time.
