Have you ever wondered what kind of actions would be classified as a mistake? When are you able to actually say that it was a “mistake?” As the days go by, we watch as others make mistakes or even experience them ourselves. A mistake can be as simple as something said to someone or one stupid decision that can change everything. Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect. We all have friends that we watch make stupid decisions everyday. You can tell them time after time that they shouldn’t do what they are doing but they do it anyway. We sit there and hope that one day they will pull their heads out of their butt and realize that they are so much better than what they are doing to themselves and others. Here’s the thing, you can’t make a mistake twice, the second time it’s not a mistake, it’s a choice. And I made a choice.

Because yes, I messed up big time. But, I knew exactly what I was doing when I decided to go out with my friends and I did it anyway. Not only did I put myself in danger but I put my little sister in danger as well. I should have never drank anything that night so I could drive us home. And maybe, just maybe we wouldn’t have hit that deer and we wouldn’t have totaled my car. You can never 100% prevent hitting a deer and keeping your car intact. However, I could have been the one driving. I could be that one that is terrified to get into the driver seat.
