Everyone that does something bad ends up doing something good in life. With every mistake there is a lesson. If you don’t learn a lesson then you didn’t make a mistake. Mistakes can be just about everything. You can say the wrong words to the wrong person. That can be a mistake and it can end really badly. Lying is a mistake, because once you start you never stop. You can’t get anywhere in life if you lie. Are you gonna lie on a job resume? That can find out if you’re lying. Learn from the people you look up to, they mostly made a mistake. It can be a really bad mistake or a little one. Every mistake can be prevented. Everything happens for a reason.
In the book The Outsiders by S.E.Hinton they were two different groups. The Socs and greasers, the two groups are viewed differently in that city. They are the same, but the dress, act …show more content…
different, and greasers get in more trouble than Socs. The Socs are known as the rich, well dressed, and nice cars kinda people. Greasers are known as oily hair, not dressed well, and troublemakers. Most greasers are in gangs. Johnny and Ponyboy are two greasers that end up in a very bad situation. As bad as the situation was they ended up doing something good by the end of the book. This book is really a good book to read, because you learn a lot about life.
After a movie Johnny and Ponyboy go and went and watched the stars.
When Ponyboy finally went home a lot happened and he left again. He met up with Johnny again and they went on a walk to the park. That’s where everything went wrong. The Socs are known for jumping the greasers and the ended up circling the park. They stopped the car and got out, a fight broke out. “I felt the blood draining from my face,” said Ponyboy (S.E.Hinton page 48). The fight didn’t end the way that anyone thought it would. Ponyboy looked at Johnny and Johnny was out of it, but Ponyboy didn’t know why. The fight continued, but not for very long. “Bob, the handsome Soc, was lying there in the moonlight, doubled up and still. A dark pool was growing from him, spreading slowly over the blue white cement, “ (S.E.Hinton page 49). Johnny had killed Bob, they didn’t want that to happened. They left that city and went a live in a church in the country with the help of a friend. They just tried to stay out of trouble, so the cops couldn’t find them. Johnny convinced Ponyboy to change their appearances. As life went on they learned more and
more.
The church that they were staying in ended up catching on fire. Just about everyone got out of the church. There was some kids that didn’t get out with everyone else. “I started at a dead run for the church,” said Ponyboy (S.E.Hinton page 78). Ponyboy was going in the fire to save the kids. It takes a lot of guts to risk your life to save someone else’s. Johnny also went to go save the kids. So together they got in trouble and together they became heroes.
They did something bad and ended having a good side and saved people. They definitely made a mistake and they definitely learned a lesson. In the end you should look at the negative side you should always look for the positive side. They may of looked at the negative at first, but looked at the positive side in the end of the book.
