Tunink does a wonderful job at creating a safe and positive learning environment. She uses positive talk throughout the day and reminds students that we are always learning. By doing this she also states how it is okay to make mistakes and it lets the students feel safe to make mistakes. The Tunink models safe procedures, for example when students put their chairs up or down they know the right way to do it. Handling scissors is another important procedure Mrs. Tunink had to model at the beginning of the year. Everyone does their best to pick up after themselves and help others, so no one trips or has an accident on something laying around. Mrs. Tunink and I show respect for the students by modeling appropriate behavior, using positive talk as well as positive reinforcements. We always praise students who are show respect for one another. We tell students thank you for working so hard and keep up the good work. The school has a reward system for students called, “catch you rocking ticket.” These tickets are given when students show great behavior. The tickets are turned in to a bucket and at the end of the week teachers draw out of the bucket to provide students with
