The quote, “If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow” has an important meaning behind it. The quote to me means to not always jump to a fight, but to instead step back, take a deep breath and walk away. If the world lived by this quote it could reduce the violence. The meaning for the quote is to say that if you put the anger behind you, you will not have to live with the burden for the rest of your life. It doesn’t mean you have to let things just happen to you. You have to think about what you are doing or you will have to live the consequences for the rest of your life. If many murderers would have listen to this quote they probably would have never killed anyone. It could also refer to dealing with a difficult person. As long as you keep your cool you won’t get angry. The moment you lose your cool there is no going back. You may say things in the heat of the moment that you don’t mean and will end up regretting it for the rest of your life. That is why you should take a step back, breath and walk away. For me, the quote reminds me of how I deal with my family members. Instead of arguing and fighting with them I will walk away. There are more important things in life than fighting with your family about petty things. As a family you should be able to work things out, but if you can’t you can just walk away from the situation and not talk about it anymore. The quote means that you should forgive and forget. It’s easy to forgive someone and apologize but it will always be in the back of your mind so you will never forget how that person hurt you. People say that you should always express yourself even if it hurts
