Society and how we improve it?

The term “society” is used to describe an organized group of persons associated together for religious, benevolent, cultural, scientific, political, patriotic, or other purposes. People that belong to one society are expected to follow and abide to the norms and values that the society is based upon. However, these may not always be perfect and there is always a tendency for change and improvement. The society we live in today itself has many customs and beliefs that may not be perfect and that may cause conflict. What are the problems in our society and how do we as an individual improve our society? Well, there are gazillions of problems, different to different people because of their distinct perspectives. First of all, the single most important thing we can do to improve society is to improve ourselves. If the 'unit' improves can the 'whole' be far behind. More often than not we blame our neighbor, our state, and our leaders for all the ills around us. But if we can only make a little improvement to our own lives we can further the cause by a step. We need to be brave and subversive in an appropriate, non violent way and serve as a role model for the people around us.
