Equality is supposed to mean the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities. This society is anything but. People are set into houses from the time they are born, from the time that they die, not being able to be free. That’s the thing though, they don’t want anyone to be free, they have their eyes…
Equality is motivated by change and if everyone else was as motivated as Equality their world would be changed forever.…
Equality is ensuring that all individuals or groups of people are treated fairly and no less favourably than others, but it does not mean that everyone is to be treated exactly the same. Equality is all about treating people in a way that is appropriate for their needs; for example if a woman in a wheelchair wanted to get on a plane it would be no use saying “I am treating you equally to the other passengers, here are the stairs.” What is needed in that situation is a way for her to board the plane without embarrassing her or treating her in a worse way than the other passengers, this is equality.…
Equality is treating people fairly regardless of their differences, ensuring that they have access to the same life opportunities. An example of this in the care setting is Ability, a lack of understanding about the needs of people with physical or mental disabilities results in them finding…
* Equality means treating people in a way that is appropriate for their needs. For example, an individual not able to mobilise efficiently but has been told they can’t use the lift they have to use the stairs like everyone else. This is not a great way to cater to the individuals needs and can be a way of making them feel unequal to others.…
As Equality started to learn more about the world around him he starts to care about himself and his body. This is shown when he says “For the first time do we know how strong our arms are. And a strange thought came to us: we wonder for the first time what we look like.”,(Rand 61). This quote shows that Equality is caring more about himself and what he looks like. Equality is starting to think and do things for himself and not other people. As Equality starts to think more about himself he discovers his…

Equality – Equality is about creating a fairer society, where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential by meeting their appropriate needs. Chapter 2 of the Equality Act 2010 outlines protected characteristics of individuals that cannot legally be a reason for treating someone unequally, these are: Age; Disability; Gender Reassignment; Marriage and Civil Partnership; Race; Religion or Belief; Sex; Sexual Orientation.…
An example in the health care context is that in a walk-in clinic a nurse lets people with a heterosexual orientation get seen before people of a homosexual orientation, instead of making everyone equally wait their turn. This would be a sign of the nurse not giving the people of homosexual orientation have an equal chance at being seen by the doctor. This is lack of equality and also discrimination of sexual orientation. In order to correct this, the nurse needs to set out the order of who gets to see the doctor first either by time they have been waiting or the direness of their injuries, this way she is not discriminating or taking away the equality of people within the clinic as she is not basing the waiting list on factors such as gender, race, sexual orientation, e.c.t.…

Our society, in my opinion, has become much more violent than it used to be. I believe most problems in our society are important. If there is a problem, people should come together to help fix it. In order to help the world people need to be more involved, and informed as well. As a citizen you should be aware of what the country is going through, and what you can do as a person to help. Being informed is the first step. Everyone is affected in some way by the problems that come over our society. It is true our society has come pretty far in accepting other people, though I wish they could be completely accepting. Gay marriage is still an issue and that honestly shocks me. When our society can learn to love everyone for who they are, we will all be much happier.…
