How to save the earth
How may of you believe that waste management and reduction is very important? Would you feel the same way if you were informed that other than being an eyesore, waste directly impact on your life? I do not think so most of you who believe in waste reduction. But I am here purposefully to ask all of you on how to save our environment.

First I'm here to give some evidence about destroying the environment.
In the Philippines, there are many calamities, typhoons, disasters. Many people died, there are many trashes like plastic, papers, old clothes that you see every where. And other people destroy many trees in the forest and as a result, it cause floods. Many poor families, children who suffer. We need to save our environment as one to save our Mother Earth.

But how to save the environment? There are 3 simple steps to help the environment. The 3 simple steps are to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle or (3R’s). First, we need to reduce the use of natural resources by cutting down its use around our houses and schools. For example, the wastage of electricity can be cut down by switching off lights and equipments that are not needed. Second, we need to reuse, which means we use the same things more than once. For example we can use bottles and jars to store pickles or spices instead of throwing them out. And third is to recycle. Those plastic, old clothes, paper can we use to recycle by making a robots using bottles and plastics. And that's the 3 simple steps on how to save the environment.

There is one Earth. All people who live on it have to share it, not only with those living today, but with those in centuries to come. What is done today will manifest itself tomorrow, affecting someone, somewhere. Many don’t think about their actions because what they do might not affect them in their own lifetime. As Pope Francis said, “We received this world as an inheritance from past generations, but also as a loan from future generations, to whom we will have to return it!” It is easy to harm the environment because many are ignorant of the consequences of their actions, which have become very routine. Changes in the individual mindset can put into motion a chain reaction. One person can influence many others, and one small change can make a big difference. There have been many figures throughout history that have been great examples of how important it is to respond to the call the Pope has made for environmental action and protection. Some influential activists have been Julia Hill and Wangari Maathai, both being very inspiring through their actions. People should heed…

As the Earth becomes more populated and humans experience increased life expectancy, there has also been an increase in carelessness. As far as concerns for the environment, humans have been lacking in the practice of sustainability, recycling, and self-sufficiency, and this has become a major issue. Due to these deficiencies, humans have drastically lost their intimate connections with the planet’s natural materials and geographical landmarks. That being said, it is crucial that the public starts to shift from harmful behaviors toward activities that promote building a better relationship with the environment. Considering the matters mentioned previously, these issues are cohesive and tend to bounce off each other as each incident occurs.…

Let us not make this complicated, shall we? Here in our own country, the environment has already been taken for granted. Filipinos treated this environment as part of the typical or normal living that they forget and disregard its value to life. Filipino people are misusing and abusing the natural resources. That candy wrapper that your little brother threw away at side of the road, it’s the root of floods in Metro Manila. The faucet you didn’t close, before rushing to your company meeting, leaves many citizens in different parts of the country, thirsty. The paper that an FEU student crumpled without even writing on it, and just throws it away like nothing, is the actual cause of solid waste…
