Human Resources were asked by the CEO, to conduct a broad assessment and analysis of current Human Resource functions, practices, and responsibilities. HR was asked to evaluate various aspects relating to the human resource functions as they currently exist in the organization and produce this report which recommends organization, staffing, and functional improvements in human resource management. Listed below are approaches utilized in the study of Human Resources services.
Primary Research
Conducted comprehensive interviews with Human Resource Department management and employees, key department heads, in the organisation.
Conducted an internal survey of key department heads so they may assess and rate the City’s Human Resources operations, services and programs. The instrument was used as an internal assessment.
Conducted an external survey of comparable communities to collect information on organizational structures and functions of human resource.
Secondary Research
Assessed critical issues relevant to potential improvement opportunities in the City’s human resource practices.
Conducted additional analyses related to issues identified during the interview process.
Received and reviewed relevant information and documentation provided by employees and management.
