Re:
New Training Programs

Recently we have discussed some new programs that our company was going to launch to help improve out teams with organization, personal skills, and tasks at hand. As well as updating our traditional training methods that we use to foster ethical behavior here at SunTrust. I will update you on how we are going to measure the success of this training program as well.
A needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs, or “gaps” between current conditions and desired conditions or “wants”. The discrepancy between the current condition and wanted condition must be measured to appropriately identify the need.
Three questions that we must answer in order to assess our needs here at SunTrust are:
Here at SunTrust are our strategies, goals and objectives clear? What are we overall trying to accomplish?
Who is going to receive the current training as well as the future training we are planning? Who is going to conduct the new training programs that we will be offering?
What is the main requirements of those that we hire? What level of knowledge do they need to have to be employed by SunTrust Bank?
An appropriate training method that could be used to foster ethical behavior here at SunTrust is the usage of interactive training on our computers. We all use computers on a daily basis and because we work with a diverse clientele we need to do something interactive. Having the annual “ethics meeting” will continue on but we will add on the interactive training program so we can take what we got from the regular meeting and put it to immediate work with the models on the computer.
Two was that we here at SunTrust can measure the success of our training programs are by watching the reaction and perception of the teammates that are being trained. Once training is completed each person attending must fill out

I was not very impressed with this memo. I did not quite understand what the author was trying to get across as far as training. All I know is that there is a new POS system and training in the system will eventually be offered or will have to be learned on their own. I have dealt with many memo’s over the years and this one is probably one of the worse ones I have seen.…

The world is filled with decisions to be made both in business and from a personal standpoint. All too often however, these worlds cross and an unethical decision could cause a scar on the company that could last indefinitely. In order to teach ethical behavior to the employees of a company one must first demonstrate the behavior themselves. Develop a culture of honesty, trust, and accountability that others will follow and in turn use in their own daily lives. A good standard Code of Ethics within any company will also place in writing the expectations a company has of its employees in the treatment of others, customers and co-workers alike. It is important to recruit, hire, and train management staff that will strictly abide by a Code of Ethics, employees are likely to follow their director and display the behavior shown to them in a presumed means of keeping their jobs intact. Good working strategies on teaching ethical behavior within the company are:…

In the spirit of the challenge set forth by our President and CEO, Jacqueline Marcus, I want to present my idea for improving Persuade Cafes business results. During the employee satisfaction survey it was reported that sixty three percent of the employees felt that there is a lack of training within the company for them to do their job proficiently. Employees who feel that they are lacking in job knowledge and skill become frustrated and that frustration can be passed on to the customers. For a manager, training can be one of the most important elements of individual and departmental success and yet as our survey shows it is the most neglected part of the employees on-boarding and retention. Training should be our most critical component of delivering the companies branding promise and a huge factor in word of mouth promotion for our firm.…
