There are 2 methods of human cloning one being SNCT which refers to somatic cell nuclear transfer. To create …show more content…
When any type of tissue living or dead is frozen, small ice particles usually grow inside cells which can sometimes result in severe damage to cell structure. With that being said scientists normally remove cells from the body of an animal or human that they want to preserve by freezing them then they soak the cells in a special kind of antifreeze to prevent cell damage. Let’s use mice cloning for an example. Scientists have been cloning mice from other mouse that have been frozen for nearly 20 years. They removed the nucleus from brain cells after it has been thawed out, and then fused each nucleus with an unfertilized egg. They electrically shock each egg to simulate penetration by a sperm, and then divide it into clones of the original mouse. Lastly they implanted the clone embryo into mouse wombs. Cloning animals from frozen cells is one of the most common ways of doing this process. Dolly the sheep was the first animals known from using this method which happened back in 1997. Then came the cloning of an Australian pig back in 2001. A body has to be as cold as -140 degrees to completely stop any cells from becoming
