People in different parts of the world suffer from hunger and it has a considerable result on future population of the world. Hunger can be defined as a weakness, distress or ache caused by a prolonged deficiency of food (Oxford English Dictionary 1971). Different programs held in countries similar to South Sudan which fight against hunger are becoming more popular and affect peoples’ view on hunger. According to the fact that in spite of the world making more than enough food to feed every person, millions are hungry ( Renton 2013). It is commonly believed that every one in the world should have chance to get enough food. However, the purpose of this essay is to evaluate whether supporting small farmers in South Sudan can be solution for hunger. This essay will focus on the solution using the criteria of effectiveness, feasibility and time to show results. Action Against Hunger is a global humanitarian organization which saves the lives of malnourished children by providing communities with access to safe water and sustainable solutions to hunger. The organization was founded in France in 1979 and with headquarters in the UK, France, Spain, the US and Canada, Action Against Hunger is recognized as a world leader in the fight against hunger. Action Against Hunger helps millions get back on their feet each year, and 2012 was no different with over half a million people assisted across Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, D.R.
