“More than 73,000 people had been killed and 128,000 injured, many of them crippled for life. Around three and half million people had lost their homes.” This earthquake was devastating. Malala isn’t able to get to school the same route, and the school is barely even there when she and her friends do make it. The earthquake had different effects on people. She speaks in front of great crowds of leaders, even the president of Pakistan goes to hear her speak. Her family is given money and, instead of buying new clothes or maybe a laptop, Malala takes her funds and starts a foundation. Once again, she continues to face challenges, one of which is the Taliban. She receives numerous threats of death, but doesn’t stop speaking up. The bravery she has of a girl this age in this situation is through the roof. One day Malala is riding the bus home from school when she is shot in the head. I injury is fatal and without her fame she wouldn’t have made it. Most people, even adults, much less a young girl in a male dominated country, would give up. If they didn't give up they would back off, but Malala, from the day she woke up from her coma to the day she walked out of the hospital, to the day she dies she will continue to fight.
