Environmental differences affected social, political, and economic institutions in the Delhi Sultanate, the Swahili city-states, and Mali. Many of these differences helped the civilizations, but some affected them badly. Mali had abundant rainfall and a very tropic climate which helped with the fertile soil in the area for farming. Although there was also high mountain ranges and plateaus that had cooler weather and shorter growing seasons. Malians adapted to this tropic climate by using their positive environmental factors to outweigh their negatives. Although the mountainous regions took space from farming areas, there was abundant wild food and fish that helped the Malian civilization develop without farming, agriculture, or herding. The Malians, instead of inhabiting another region, stayed and used their advantages of the environment to prosper.…

We can all reflect back onto our transition from elementary to middle school. As we gained independence, we also obtained responsibilities. For example, in elementary we were always herded like cattle from class to class, but in middle school, however, we were the ones who were responsible for showing up to our classes on time, or at all. Our next steps will have us…

I always strived to do the best that I can, in everything that I do, and this especially applies to academics. In 6th grade, I joined the honors program at my middle school; from then on forward, I made sure than my work was of high enough quality so that the following year I would be placed in honors courses. These courses are what I believe prepared me for my success in high school. I got a taste of what it was like to be in an environment where every pupil was hungry for an education and for knowledge, and I grew to want to learn as much as my classmates. I entered high school with courses that upperclassmen had that challenged me more than anything else had before. It was during my freshman year of high school that I realized that I couldn’t…

I think we should use freetime in our middle school classes incase we need to get caught up on any work we are behind on or be able to step away from school if we have been doing too much in our classes. If we had free time we would have more people getting their assignments done on time and no one would be ineligible for sports. Or if someone was gone or sick they could get caught up on the assignments they missed or if they were gone for a long time they would also have that free time.…
