I Deserve A Scholarship
I believe that I deserve and be grateful for the courage to grow scholarship for multiple reasons. Many people write these essays about financial struggles and the expenses that obtaining a college education requires. As a college student, myself going in to my second year I can fully attest to this however, that’s not why I believe I deserve the scholarship. I want the chance to grow in my career and education and this scholarship will provide a little bit relief financially so I can be more focused on education and becoming the best possible citizen and community participant. I currently attend Bowling Green State University majoring in Interior Design. I really enjoy my major and would love the chance to participate in different co-op opportunities.

Meg Cabot once wrote that “Courage is not the absence of fear, but the judgment that something else is more important than fear. The brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.” Every time I try to apply for this scholarship, I think to myself, “What have I done? I have no great stories to tell about when I had the courage to grow after some tragedy.” But then I realize that this is not what the scholarship is really about. It is about having the courage to step out of one's comfort zone; having courage to take action, even while in doubt or fear. That is why I decided I must not act like the cautious do, but rather like the brave in taking steps to become a better, stronger, and braver person. I am sick and tired of watching…
