I would describe the Resident Assistant position to a parent or new student by letting them know that the Resident Assistant position not to be taken lightly. It requires time, hard work and communication. As a Resident Assistant, you have to take into account of the residents, and your fellow assistants. In my future I hope to become a doctor. Being a doctor means you have to communicate and assist patients. The goal is to always make the patient feel better and leave happy. This RA position can help in just that. My job would be to help the residents. I would gain experience in assisting large amounts of people, making new friends and gain new leadership skills. Throughout my experience as an RA I can make connections not just with my bosses, but with other Resident Assistants and fellow residents.
