Explain Why I Want To Be A Cna

I want to be a CNA because I’m caring and I love to help people especially people who can’t, do for themselves and need some assistance with anything especially elderly people and CNAs. Do so much for the people who are in short and long term facilities. CNAs are the closest thing to them besides their family members. They know almost everything there is to know about their residents. Like some of them tell their CNAs confidential things that they never told anyone before. Some CNAs know what their residents love and hate eating, wearing, and watching to where they love. Sitting even the way they want you to take their vital signs. Some may be difficult to deal with at times but that’s all a part of being a CNA. You have to just be patient with them and eliminate the triggers because not all of them will just let you take their vital signs or bathe them. So it’s best to work with
The CNA has to care for each and every person the same. My teacher here at job corps has really stressed to us how important it is to care for our patients. One of the job duties I will have to do is take a patient’s vital signs. This means that I have to use a thermometer and take the patient’s temperature, take their blood pressure and pulse rate. It is very important to be accurate on this and I will have to record it in the patient’s chart so that the nurse or doctor can see it and determine if there is a problem with the patient in those areas. Another job duty I will have to do is clean a patient’s room. Other duties that some people think is gross is changing bed pans and cleaning up after a patient vomits or has a bathroom accident. I don’t find this hard to do at all because I want to do whatever I can to make sure my patients are taken care of. There are many more job duties that a CNA does because sometimes a CNA has to do things above and beyond their job duties to ensure the patient is given the best care
