Creating and Presenting: Imaginative Writing
Semester One 2015
This SAC will be held over 2 lessons, as scheduled by your teacher.
You must select one of the prompts provided below.
You may bring in a brief outline or plan of your writing (~50 words).
You are not permitted to bring in essay drafts and you are not permitted to submit drafts to your teacher prior to the SAC.
You may use a dictionary, but not a thesaurus.
You must bring in your completed Statement of Explanation and attach it to your completed SAC. (100 - 150 words)
Bring this sheet with you to the SAC and attach it to your completed SAC, along with the assessment criteria.
Word length should be approximately 600-800 words.
You must provide a plastic sleeve, in which you will insert your completed SAC and Statement of Explanation.
No food or drinks, other than water, are permitted in the room.
Mobile phones and electronic devices are NOT permitted under any circumstances. You will be asked to turn these off and place them at the front of the classroom at the start of the assessment period.

Your statement of explanation must explain your choice of writing style, your intended audience and the language features used. You should also explain your development of ideas suggested by the set text, ‘Growing Up Asian in Australia.’
