All across the country children have been missing school in the fear of being deported, these fears have been rising due to ICE arresting people outside of churches, schools, hospitals, all of which are “sensitive locations”. These tactics used by the department of homeland security are embedding fear not only in the minds of undocumented parents but their children as well. The torment doesn’t end there. Studies have now shown several cases of bullying spiking as a result of the new immigration policies. There have been multiple occurrences in which immigrant children are assaulted and told to “get out of the country”, the bullying reaches as far as social media nowadays, with racial slurs being thrown around left and right. These are all aspects that play a part in the psychological trauma many immigrant children
