Bang. Thump. Bullets flew through the air and American soldiers hit the ground. Death was all around them. Why were these Americans fighting? What are they dying for? And who is going to remember them? These Americans soldiers weren't fighting a lost cause. They were fighting for freedom, they were fighting so the American people can sleep another sound night, and they were fighting to secure the nation. These men and women on the battlefield were dying for independence, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And as an American people, yes, we are going to remember them.
