If seeking for a suitable political system for the recent Indonesia, I would choose inland agrarian. A suitable political system to be implemented in Indonesia despite being a democratic country. Inland agrarian is a system where the government has definite role to control its people, its resources and so on. It means there will be clear borders and rules in order to maintain the state and the society. This system is identic as a homogenous system to reach an equality for all. In other words, to have the sovereignty and the welfare, everything put on the same level. Inland agrarian characteristic also falls on the main territory which is the dry area (land) to be explored. Agricultural becomes the lead to build the …show more content…
As long as I figured, most of Indonesian people has low motivation towards something –lazy to do anything. Even though there are a lot of good Indonesia citizen who being active and full of motivation but in other side those negatives vibe is still exist. Mochtar Lubis in his book Manusia Indonesia: Sebuah Pertanggungjawaban even defined Indonesian people as someone who is hypocritical, irresponsibility, feudal-minded, superstitious, weak character, wasteful, lazy, grumbler, jealous quickly, pretentious and imitator. Well, it sounds pathetic but we cannot deny if those thing is actually happen in our society. Therefore Indonesia need a system that able to lead its people to do something properly.
Furthermore, this citizen behavior is connected to the political culture that Indonesian society have. Political culture refers to a set of widely shared beliefs, values and norms concerning the relationship of citizens to government and between one another. In other words, it is something that government and citizen owned and develop. Almond and Verba categorize three kinds of political

    Peran Parpol Dlm Demokrasi

Kondisi keparpolan di Indonesia seperti ini, juga diungkapkan oleh Grayson Lloyd dan Shannon Smith: …..most of the major parties are not, to quote the 1999 statute, ‘in the hand of the people’ but rather are controlled by small numbers of elites, both at the national and local levels. Major parties tend to have poor internal communications: branches generally receive scant information about policy issues or…

According to the journal article, ‘Indonesia’s 2014 Elections: How Jokowi Won and Democracy Survived’, written by Marcus Mietzner, he presented his arguments by using comparative analysis. To analyze Indonesia’s 2014 election, he compared mainly the two president candidates- Probowo and Jokowi. The two candidates actually represented two different concepts on politics in Indonesia, which Mietzner classified in three perspective, namely grassroots volunteerism versus oligarchic machine politics; moderate populist versus radical populist; and, democracy versus authoritarian.…

In May 1998 the fall of Suharto marked the beginning of a difficult and multilayered transition process. It was accompanied by intensified conflict in the political arena, a dramatic increase of ethnic and religious violence and the danger of national disintegration. Ten years after the collapse of the New Order, Indonesia has made significant progress; however, the quality of democracy is still low. Theoretically innovative and empirically sound, this book is an in-depth analysis of the Indonesian reform process since 1998. Marco Bünte and Andreas Ufen bring together a selection of noted Indonesia experts to provide new insights into the restructuring of core state institutions, the empowerment of parliament, the slow and difficult evolution of the rule of law, and the transfer of power to locally elected regional governments (decentralization). Based on the results of extensive fieldwork, Democratization in PostSuharto Indonesia will be an important read for scholars engaged in research on Indonesia and the politics of Southeast Asia. Marco Bünte and Andreas Ufen are both Senior Research Fellows at the Institute of Asian Studies, German Institute of Global and Area Studies, in Hamburg, Germany.…

It seems so hard to appreciate our very own country, especially country like Indonesia. If we see it in political perspective, there are so many system lacking in the government system that give people bad impact such as unemployments, which also makes big impacts in environment. People who is unemployed and is having economic difficulties will be asking for money and food in the streets and traffic lights. Many slum neighbourhood will be built nearby the river, that will make Indonesia seems dirty. Also, will make number of murder and crime in Indonesia will raise because human tends to kill do something illegal to get what they want. Politicians only care about them selves without thinking of the people of Indonesia. They make them selves very rich, but the people is getting poorer and poorer every single time. What about the governer? The right answer for this question is four letters one word – same – yes, same indeed. They talk about prosperity, security, and more empty promises when they are doing their campaign. But when they are selected…
