Intermediate Leadership Self Analysis
I believe that I am a partial transformational leader as of right now. I currently utilize only two of the Four I’s, individualized consideration and idealized influence. To improve on the two that I currently feel that I am and to incorporate the two that I am not, intellectual stimulation and inspirational motivation, I will have to use all the principles learned in the Intermediate Leadership Experience. For me, I will mainly focus on full range of leadership development (FRLD), adaptability, the Right to Lead Assessment Model (RLAM), diagnosing, and the Cooperative Negotiation Strategy (CNS) to improve upon my leadership style. The reason that I feel that I am a transformational leader through individualized consideration and idealized …show more content…
As I continue to progress in rank, I will continue to possess the authority to lead and I will accept the obligations and requirements from my personal beliefs and regulations that are passed through my AF leadership. I will continue to work on my competence, character, and personality because those are the things that I have control over. I will show competence in my abilities and the decisions I make for my subordinates to follow. I will stay in good character by staying balanced in my decisions. I will always do the right thing even if it is not the most popular choice. As for personality, I will maintain my emotional maturity through self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness and relationship management. By applying all of these principles to my own leadership, I will be an easy leader to follow, and will help my subordinates trust me and have faith in me as I lead them through their careers. Over the next three to five years as I work on my competence, character, and personality, I will become more relevant to the Airman I will …show more content…
I utilize diagnosing to find out how my subordinates are doing and how they respond to various situations. By diagnosing their behavior, I can better determine future positions and jobs for them. Over the next three to five years, I will utilize the diagnosing step of diagnosing, adapting, and communicating to find problems within my unit. If I do not diagnose the problems first, I will never be able to adapt and communicate the results or actions needed. I will look at the morale, esprit de corps, discipline, and proficiency of my teams and subordinates to ensure that all of these are being taken care of. After I diagnose the issues, I will then adapt and communicate what can be done to improve my unit. I will ensure that all members see the needs of the unit, and understand why leadership is making the decisions they have chosen. I will use the diagnosing step to make any changes to my leadership style based on how the unit is interacting and how my subordinates are

That is one of my qualities that makes me unique my past. Another unique quality that will aid in the type of leader I would like to be includes my relentless demeanor to not give on things, I would like to carry and will carry that over to the point that I will not give up on a subordinate. I want to be (THE), emphasis on the, supervisor to go to for talking, fixing problems, and outstanding job knowledge. I want my subordinates to know that I care and will help them and guide them towards excellence at and away from work in any and every possible way that I can. This paper is primarily from the conclusions derived from the self assessments that were given through the online assignments for the course. The primary source that was used to measure these evaluations were completed from the Self-Assessment Library: Insights into Your Skills, Abilities, and Interests, book by Stephen P. Robbins, These evaluation tools measured things such as one’s creativity level to one’s optimism. While some of the results were expected, there were some results that completely took me by surprise.…

Leadership is a term that can sometimes be casually tossed around without understanding what it truly entails. Leadership can be viewed as the person, a particular position, the influence a leader has on others, or by observable results (Banks & Ledbetter, 2003, p. 16). More than ever before, I feel as though the term leadership is becoming a focus in Churches, schools, corporations, organizations, government sectors, clubs, and teams. Why? People desire leaders to forester change, create efficient, encourage unity, and produce excellence. Leadership is a vast and powerful word that requires sacrifice, integrity,…

Leadership is the key element of the nursing profession. Every nurse performs leadership role while caring for their patients, such as providing a continuum of care, advocate for them, and educate them and the family. All these tasks need authoritative, directive, and compassionate personality. I believed that I practice Path-goal theory and Transformational leadership. The reason I choose Path-goal theory is that I believe in accomplishing goals by motivating the team and recognizing their work efforts. Furthermore, the followers need to have clear goals by coaching and directing them as well as be able to fall back on the leader to overcome the obstacles. I also believe that I fit into the transformational leadership…

The Caldwell Fellows offers an intense leadership program that will help to develop the potential for someone with leadership qualities, and I have leadership qualities. When I think of leadership, I think of such characteristics as reliability, kindness, knowledge, and a voracious drive for continued learning. With these characteristics, regardless of the situation, a person can motivate others to develop, to progress, and to attain a common goal. People who have the potential for leadership would benefit from learning techniques and getting experience in the field. Leadership development is a way for someone who has the capability of leading to advance and enrich themselves and others.…
