According to Freshman (2010) et al p. 1, team building and collaboration are essential elements for any health care team large or small. Fostering collaboration and communication among the teams’ members of long term care, is a necessary process for the successful operation of the entire group (Freshman (2010) et al p. 2) Members of an Interprofessional teams, communicate and work together, as colleagues, to provide quality, individualized care for patients and accountability based on their individual disciplines (Freshman (2010), et al p. 1-2).
