Who can resist the heavenly taste of chocolate which transports you to a different world? The astounding global popularity and rich, wholesome taste of chocolate is beyond imagination. Happily for chocolate lovers, it not only tastes great but has a plethora of tangible benefits.

The reason why dark chocolate tastes so bitter is because not all sugar and butter is added that would go into milk chocolate in fact less is added this is why dark chocolate contains 70% coco which makes it less fattening as it’s more natural. Furthermore coco butter is high in saturated fat, BUT 1/3 of fat is stearic acid, which doesn’t raise bad cholesterol. 1/3 of fat is unsaturated fat called oleic acid which raises good cholesterol. Although chocolate does contain caffeine it only contains a small amount whereas coffee and coke contains a substantial amount of caffeine.
