I definitely did not like the photographs that depict pornographic scenes. Another thing that made discomfort was that there were children and since it was a child friendly place, I thought that these photographs should not take place in the space where the children were allowed. Unfortunately, the both reasons, that I am not a fan of Photography Techniques and that the most of the photographs were untitled and there were no explanations, made me unable to gain information about what makes that kind of photographs an art. Now I am searching for additional information since there were many photographs and sculptures that I could not understand. For instance, I could not figure out what was the feeling and thought behind creating sculptures by putting on top of each other different sized and painted in different colors card boxes, the balloons that were attached to a robotic appliance that had been moving, the pair of Nike shoes, the child dress with plaster on top, the pajamas attached to a wooden panel with an antique mirror …show more content…
I found myself questioning my previous knowledge and the knowledge that I acquired from visiting the museum. I have learned about conceptual art and about the different artists from the exhibitions. Both, my inability to understand some of the artworks and the thought that the conceptual art is a way of expressing and conveying thoughts and feelings evoked my curiosity. Therefore, I continued to search for reputable sources that give information and analyze the art, the artworks, primarily the contemporary and conceptual art- works, and the previous and current works of the artists whose art projects take place at the Hammer
