Network consultant scenarios
Case project 3.1
To solve the shared bandwidth problem with the company network new equipment is necessary. First off the 10mbps Ethernet hub should be replaced with a 100mbps, due to its better performance. An extended star topology with a logical switch topology will be the best setup for the situation. As for the five new computers a wireless approach will be best. For this method each new addition will need to be equipped with a wireless NIC (network interface card). To connect these to the network a wireless router and a wireless access point will also be needed. Case project 3.2
EBiz.com would benefit with a switched logical and a physical extended star topology. The network will be server based. 250 computers plus five servers will be attached to the network. A central switch/router is the easiest network device to reconfigure. A peer to peer topology will offer best access to the networks medians bandwidth.
Case project 3.3
ENorm Inc.’s network will be server based with 105 computers attached to the network. With the given availability the best topology would be a physical star topology logical switch topology by means of physical star topology.
For all three settings given the conditions in which to work with a client server based model is the choice. This choice is made for a few different reasons while considering multiple factors. First off client server includes an option for flexibility. That is growth and, or modification to any existing device, or future additions to the system. The design, implication, material, and budget demands are reasonably accomplishable. A client server offers tighter security through a central database which houses an array of customized permissions which allows an appointed user whatever access is needed. A client server base model is reasonably equipped to accommodate the expanding business to the business with everything
