Jake Weber's Case Study
I am writing to express my full support of Jake Weber to be accepted to your institution. I believe that Jake has the qualities of a good student as clearly seen within his records of accomplishment during his experience at Danville Area High School. His positive attitude and remarkable initiative in helping his fellow students has earned him the reputation as one of the well-respected students in Danville Area High School.

As his School Counselor, I was able to witness Jake’s exemplary attitude and remarkable passion to be successful academically. He is active with other school affairs as well. He is a member of the school’s lacrosse team and the basketball team. He is a member of the National Honor Society and is also part of the Student

Although Coach Jessup had helped him an awful lot with having faith in himself, his buddy Nate had also helped a ton. No matter how down Jake got on himself, Nate was always there to pick him up. While Jake and Nate were hanging out in town one night, Nate had said with confidence, “You will be the first string this season.” This seems like a normal thing to say because they are best friends, but it was the confidence that Nate said this with that really helped Jake actually think he had a chance to be the first string. This book had made me think about believing in myself because it showed the change in not only Jake’s attitude when he believed in himself, but it showed in his game also. In the end, I have realized from the book QB1 that anything is achievable as long as you have faith…

I spoke with Craig Ribbens, who is one of the insureds’ long-time tenants. Mr. Ribbens was cooperative and offered to help in any way that he could. However, the information that he provided was not very beneficial to our defense. The house that the plaintiffs rented is one of five that the insureds own in a small compound. Mr. Ribbens informed us that he did not know the plaintiffs, but heard from other tenants that they moved out because there was mold throughout their house. Although he never saw the mold, and has seen none in the house that he rents, he occasionally smells mold in his house in the past.…

In person, Jake appeared to be just one of the guys. Nothing fancy about himself, very humble and charismatic. After listening to Jake speak briefly about his life, family and his pursuit of his innate being, you can tell he’s sincere and dedicated to his craft and family. Jake was also instrumental in terms of being relative due to his Western New York origins. He can relate to Buffalonians and our struggle as a city in a financial crisis, where one side of the city’s future is in question while another side of the city’s future looks lucrative.…

    Jake Riley Analysis

I believe that the theme of the novel Jake Riley; Irreparably damaged by Rebecca Fjelland Davis is not to judge a book by its cover. Usually, I find myself following this saying. The theme is shown in a smaller instance when Lainey's friends assume she was in love with Jake. She denies it after they whisper into her ear, “‘Why didn't you tell us’” (Davis 14). Another instance in the book somewhat shows the main theme when Lainey and the school counsellor are arguing about Jake. Lainey begins to lose all control of herself after the counsellor begins making assumptions about Jake doing something illegal, so she ends up yelling at Mrs. Prebyl, saying, “‘. . . Maybe what Jake needs is somebody who thinks he's not irreparably damaged’” (Davis 228).…

Andrew White is a student who understands that the years spent in high school are what you make of them. Andrew has made the most of his high school career. Not one to be swayed by the masses, Andrew is an individual and is not afraid to think for himself. He is not one to make rash decisions, but thinks carefully about the decisions that he makes. He has a high level of maturity and has easily gained the respect of both peers and staff. His attitude, involvement and dedication to academics along with extracurricular activities are consistently positive. A scholar and an athlete, Andrew always gives one hundred percent effort. Most notably, I am impressed with Andrew’s development into not only an excellent student, but also the consistency he has shown in all areas of his involvement both in and outside of school.…

To describe Nick Wilken I would use three words; laid back, athletic, and misunderstood. As a matter of fact, a perfect weekend for Nick would include one or two close friends and some stupid, adventurous fun. He chooses not to worry about the big, scary consequences in life. In addition to acting as a chill fellow, Nick steps up his game in athletics. Basketball and football define him as a strong team player on the court and on the field. Although, Nick feels that basketball defines him the most. In contrast, under this veil of athleticism Nick feels misunderstood. Maybe the feeling that people negatively view him explains his pessimistic outlook in life. However, as a child, Nick never knew how life would turn out. Not to worry, Nick’s family…
