Jason Cooper Monologue
He’s gone; I don’t know what I’m going to do without him. I miss him already, the sound of his voice, his beautiful blue eyes. How could that all had been taken from me because of one reckless driver? I never thought I would see the day I attended my husband’s funeral, but today’s the day. I walk in funeral home clutching my dead husbands’ eulogy with big bolded letters on top reading Jason Cooper. I can barely recognize all these people everyone fuzzy from the tears forming in my eyes, trying to keep it together for their sakes. All I’ve heard since my arrival are the remorseful sorry from the people, them not realizing with every word I’m breaking. I gathered myself and sat down for the service praying for the moment it would be over. The …show more content…
Then I headed off to bed for some rest before continuing the book tomorrow. I was awoken at about 3:00 a.m. by the sound of voices. I got out of bed and walked to the living room to find the source of the commotion. There it was, the book; it was glowing, vines extending from the pages. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I made my way over to the table, picked up the book, and everything stopped. I opened the book and began reading the pages once more, I couldn’t stop, I was absolutely obsessed with this book. Hours had gone by and I could feel the weight of his words on my heart. Every detail of the book was spot on. I was tired, so very tired, this book was draining the life out of me, but I couldn’t stop, I had to reach the ending. I had to know what was left for me, why was this book so important. Then, it stopped, I was done, the book was finished. I looked up attempting to process what I had just read and I couldn’t believe what I had seen. It was him, Jason, standing right in front of me. He slowly made his way to me. I stood up and his eyes instantly met mine as he said,
